Alexander STEWART (b 1841)
- Birth: Feb 1841 in Old Kilpatrick (Dunbartonshire) Scotland
- Death: Date Unknown in Location Unknown
- Father: William STUART (b c1806)
- Mother: Janet CRAIG (b 1806)
I have found only one bit of information about Alexander Stewart: He appeared in his parent's household in the 1841 Census taken on 06 Jun 1841. The census enumerator recorded his name and his age as 4 months. That would place his birth in February 1841. Alexander's birth was not recorded in the parish register of Old Kilpatrick and his death was not recorded there either. The National Records of Scotland appear to have no record of him in Dunbartonshire or Renfrewshire. He is also not in the family household in the 1851 Census when he would have been just 10. My guess is that he died at an early age, but this is nothing more than conjecture. He may not have existed at all.

[Note: The place of birth for William Stuart, head of household, is almost certainly a simple enumerator error. It follows a household in which all members were born in Ireland.]
